“Don’t worry about it. We’ll figure something out. I always do.”

this is so interesting to me, especially that look on bolin’s face

mako is clearly like, okay, fine, life has shit on us again, i’ll handle it - he takes it in stride without so much as blinking, and he doesn’t show his feelings about the matter except for snapping just a little bit (“then I wouldn’t say you have nothing,” “so anyway,” “we need serious ideas”) - trademark cool under fire in the face of literally everything they’ve been working for collapsing under this obstacle they were never told about and have no way of realistically overcoming without nigh-miraculous intervention

but bolin clearly WANTS to step up, he had what he thought was a good idea, and that little sulky petulant frown - he wants to show that he can figure something out too, that it doesn’t have to always be mako who pulls them out of the fire, he can contribute too - he’s determined to figure something out, too, like “i’ll show him, he’ll see” but not in a spiteful way, just in a “you thought i couldn’t do it but i DID and you’ll see i did and you’ll be so impressed because you’ll see i had this in me and you dismissed it and you never knew” 

it’s an interesting revealing moment about their dynamic - yes, bolin’s idea is ridiculous but he really believes it can work and he wants to contribute to their success, it doesn’t all have to be on mako, he can help as well

I always thought this was ironic, considering it was Mako’s fault. Poor Bolin, he’s still adorable though. And dang Mako is strong!
